I’m a new mama to the sweetest little boy, and I’m based in Sullivan County but I’ll happily travel wherever your story takes us. I’ve had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember, and photography has always been a passion of mine. Becoming a mom has only made that love grow deeper. We documented so much of my son’s first year , by the time he turned one, we had already done ten photo sessions with various photographers. Sounds crazy right? It was so worth it!

Why I Photograph Families, Motherhood & Love Stories
Hi, I’m Yahaira Cerda a photographer based in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, capturing new families, pregnancies, and couples in love.
Becoming a mom changed everything for me. Our fertility journey wasn’t easy. Getting pregnant and staying pregnant was harder than I ever imagined. But after all the uncertainty, we were finally blessed with our beautiful son. That experience deepened my passion for documenting the early days of parenthood. I know firsthand how raw and real it is. The never ending laundry piles, bottles and pump parts everywhere, toys scattered in every corner of the house. And still, it’s all so beautiful.
This is what I aim to capture. Authentic, heartfelt moments that tell your family’s true story.
I specialize in lifestyle sessions for new and growing families, and maternity photos that reflect the strength and beauty of this season of life. These aren’t just pictures, they’re memories you’ll hold onto long after the baby outgrows their onesie.
One of my favorite things to do is look back at the photos I had taken of us when he was first born. His little hands, the soft smile, all bring me back to the day we got to meet our little rainbow.
Before I focused on families, I fell in love with photographing couples who are just starting their journey. This passion still runs deep. These love stories are what first pulled me into photography and even now, they still inspire me.
